You can enjoy your drive with thefollowing functions.• CD playbackYou can play CD-DA (also containing CDTEXT*1), CD-R/CD-RW (MP3 files alsocontaining Multi Session (page 35)) andATRAC CD (ATRAC3 and ATRAC3plusformat (page 36)).• Radio reception– You can store up to 6 stations per band (FM1,FM2, FM3, MW and LW).– BTM (Best Tuning Memory): the unit selectsstrong signal stations and stores them.• RDS servicesYou can use FM station with Radio DataSystem (RDS).• Sound adjustment– EQ7: You can select an equalizer curve for 7music types.– DSO (Dynamic Soundstage Organizer):creates a more ambient sound field, usingvirtual speaker synthesis, to enhance thesound of speakers, even if they are installedlow in the door.– BBE MP: improves digitally compressedsound such as MP3. For details, see thefollowing explanation.• Image settingYou can set various display images.– Pre-stored images: Wallpaper, SpaceProducer, Movie, etc.– User storing images: A maximum of 100images can be stored from the optionaldevice.• Optional unit operationYou can also control CD/MD changers, Sonyportable devices and the DVD navigationsystem NVX-HC1*2 in addition to this unit.*1 A CD TEXT disc is a CD-DA that includesinformation such as disc, artist and track name.*2 When the NVX-HC1 is connected, someoperations and display items are different. BBE MPworks by generating even-order harmonics fromthe source material, effectively recoveringwarmth, detail and nuance.
