Page 26 SITRANS Probe LU ñ INSTRUCTION MANUAL 7ML19985HT01ParametersParameter ReferenceSITRANS Probe LU is configured through its parameters, and the application determinesthe parameter values which are entered into the instrument.Please check your value entries carefully before operating SITRANS Probe LU, to ensureoptimum performance.Helpful Hintsï Primary index is an address: for example, P054.ï Secondary index is a sub-address that allows for multiple values on an indexedpoint, and allows indexed values from more than one parameter to be linked, forexample, the breakpoints in P054 and P055. (See pages 34 and 37 for more details.)To access a parameter and change a value (primary index):1. Press PROGRAM then DISPLAY to activate PROGRAM Mode.2. Either use the ARROW keys to scroll to each parameter number, orpress DISPLAY again to access the parameter number field, and key in theparameter number followed by ENTER .3. Key in the new value.4. Press ENTER .Notes:ï Keep infrared devices such as laptops, cell phones, and PDAs, away fromSITRANS Probe LU to prevent inadvertent operation.ï Do not use the Hand Programmer at the same time as SIMATIC PDM, or erraticoperation may result.ï The following instructions apply when using the Hand Programmer.ï Press PROGRAM then DISPLAY to access PROGRAM mode, and pressPROGRAM to return to RUN mode.ï CLEAR can be used to clear the fieldï Default values (Factory settings) are indicated by an asterisk (*) in the parametertables, unless explicitly described.Note: Initial zeros in a parameter number do not have to be entered: for example, forP001, key in 1.
