Safety information2.2 Reactive power compensationSIRIUS 3RW30 / 3RW40Manual, 10/2018, NEB535199502000/RS-AB/005 192.2 Reactive power compensationCapacitors for improving the power factor (reactive power compensation)Capacitors may not be connected to the output terminals of the 3RW52 soft starter.Connecting capacitors to the output terminals will damage the 3RW52 soft starter.Active filters, e.g. for reactive power compensation, must not be operated parallel to themotor control device. If capacitors are to be used to correct the power factor (actively or passively), they must beconnected on the line side of the device. They must not actively control the power factorduring the starting and coasting down phases. If a contactor disconnector or main contactorare used together with the electronic 3RW52 soft starter, the capacitors must bedisconnected from the 3RW52 soft starter when the contactor is open.2.3 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) according to IEC 60947-4-1This product is designed for Environment A. It may produce radio interference in domesticenvironments, in which case the user may be required to take adequate mitigationmeasures.
