Safety information2.3 Use in hazardous areasIFP, IFP PRO, IFP ETHOperating Instructions, 11/2017, A5E31298376-AH 35Defective pixels in the displayThe manufacturing process of modern displays does not currently guarantee that all pixels ofthe display are perfect. It is therefore inevitable that the display will contain a small numberof defective pixels. This does not limit the function in any way provided the defective pixelsare not all in one location.Additional information is available in section "Technical specifications (Page 107)".2.3 Use in hazardous areasThe following warnings apply to operating a device with Ex approval in hazardous areas.WARNINGExplosion HazardDo not disconnect while circuit is live unless area is known to be non-hazardous.Substitution of components may impair suitability for Class I, Division 2 or Zone 2.Risque d'ExplosionNe pas déconnecter pendant que le circuit est sous tension, sauf si la zone est non-dangereuse. Le remplacement de composants peut compromettre leur capacité à satisfaireà la Classe I, Division 2 ou Zone 2.WARNINGDo not plug or pull connectors in potentially explosive atmospheresIf you plug in or pull out the connector during operation, there is a risk of sparkover. Anexplosion can be triggered in the hazardous area due to sparkover, and death or seriousbodily injury can occur.Plugging or pulling connectors, such as a 24 V DC power supply plug, is prohibited in thepotentially explosive atmosphere.Only plug or pull a connector when one of the following two conditions is met: The area isno longer hazardous or the device and its plug-in connections are de-energized.To switch off the device, close all open programs or the current project, and switch off thepower to the device. Also read the enclosed documentation for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and theinformation in the section "Certificates and approvals (Page 85)".
