However the emergencystop button is extensively protected against damage.OperationThe operator triggers the emergency stop by pressing the emergency stop button. Theemergency stop button engages in the emergency stop position.Releasing the emergency stop buttonWARNINGIf you have activated the emergency stop button and thereby brought the configuredsystem to a standstill, the emergency stop button should only be released under thefollowing conditions:• The reasons for the emergency stop have been eliminated.• A safe restart is possible.• The restart should not be executed by releasing the emergency stop button.The operator must strictly ensure that he executes a separate operator action tocommence the restart. The safety program must ensure that release of the emergencystop button alone does not trigger an automatic restart of the system.In order to release the emergency stop button, turn it in a clockwise direction. Theemergency stop button then returns on its own to the initial position.NOTICEThe emergency stop button can be triggered unintentionallyThe emergency stop button is evaluated under the following conditions:• The Mobile Panel 277F IWLAN is integrated in the safety program of the F CPU.The emergency stop button can be triggered unintentionally in the following cases, andbring the configured system to a standstill:• If the HMI device falls down• When opening one of the coverings on the rear of the HMI deviceWARNINGNon-functional emergency stop buttonThe emergency stop button is only effective if the HMI device is in the charging station or ifis operated with the battery.Do not operate the HMI device in the plant with the table power supply unit.
