Operating the circuit-breaker panel40 NXAIR M 139-2021.9 / 0710.9 Closing the circuit-breaker electricallyNOTICEConflicting operationOperating the circuit-breaker electrically is possible locally or from a centralcontrol. The requirement of setting the panel to either local or remote controlprevents operating the panel locally and centrally at the same time.Depending on the intended operating mode, set the panel to either local orremote control (for example by switching the local-remote switch).HINTIf an undervoltage release is fitted, it must be connected to the auxiliary voltage forthe switching operation, as otherwise closing is not possible.HINTUnexpected motor noise and vibrationOperating the circuit-breaker discharges and/or charges the spring energy storeabruptly. This causes a short loud noise and low vibration.Expect switching noise and low vibration from inside the circuit-breaker.HINTThe opening spring is charged during the closing operation.Preconditions Withdrawable circuit-breaker in service position or in test position Circuit-breaker in OPEN position Spring state indicator for the closing spring shows CHARGED High-voltage door closed Auxiliary voltage for the panel connected Remote or local controlProcedureClose the circuit-breaker via central or local electrical control element.
