If you switch the hood off, thenthe acoustic signal is removed.The grease filters should be cleanedstraight away.Cleaning the metal grease filters: In normal operation (1-2 hours daily)the metal grease filter must becleaned 1x a month. The filters can be cleaned in a dishwasher. It is however possible thatthey become slightly discoloured.The filters must be placed loosely andNOT wedged in the dishwasherImportant: Metal filters that aresaturared with grease should not bewashed together with other dishes. When clearing the filters by hand,soak them in hot soapy water first ofall. Do not use aggressive, acidic orcaustic cleaners. Then brush thefilters clean, rinse them thoroughlyand leave the water to drain off.Removing and installing the metalgrease filters:Attention: the halogen bulbs must beswitched off and must have cooled down.1. Follow the steps shown in the Mfigures.2. Depress the handles on the greasefilters and fold down the grease filters.3. Clean the grease filters.4. Re-install the cleaned grease filters.5. Clearing the display. Press 2x in succession the Opush button. An acoustic signal isissued and the display goesout.Cleaning and careIsolate the extractor hood by pullingout the mains plug or switching off thefuse.Do not clean the extractor hood withabrasive sponges or with cleaning agentswhich contain sand, soda, acid or chlorine. Clean the extractor hood with a hotsoap solution or a mild windowcleaner. Do not scrape off dried-on dirt butwipe off with a damp cloth. When clearing the grease filters,remove grease deposits fromaccessibile parts of the housing. Thisprevents the risk of fire and ensuresthat the extractor hood continuesoperating at maximum efficiency. Note: do not use alcohol (spirit) onplastic surfances, as dull marks mayappear.
