20How to avoiddamageHard or pointed objects Hard or pointed objects may cause damage if theyfall onto the glass ceramic panel or the glass ceramiccover .Glass ceramic cover Wait until the appliance has cooled down completelybefore placing the glass ceramic cover on theappliance. Do not switch on the grill with the glassceramic cover placed on it. Do not use the glassceramic cover as a surface for placing objects or forkeeping things warm.Before first useLava stones Before using the appliance for the first time, take thelava stones out of the plastic bag and pour them intothe lava stone container.Heat up grill Thoroughly clean the appliance and accessoriesbefore using them for the first time. Then heat up theappliance without any food placed on it at thehighest level for a few minutes. This will eliminate any'newness' smells.There might be smoke when heating the grill for thefirst time. This is normal.Repairs Incorrect repairs are dangerous. Risk of electricshock! Repairs must be carried out by one of ourexperienced after-sales engineers.If the appliance is damaged, switch off thecorresponding household fuse. Call after-salesservice.
