Thisconsiderable current flow implies the risk of internal arcing, and the voltage transformercan explode and produce a fire. Death, serious injury and considerable property damagecan be the consequence.➭ Never short-circuit voltage transformers on the secondary side.➭ Check the voltage transformer circuits from the voltage transformer to the secondary fuseor short-circuit protective device for short circuits.➭ Check correct operation of the existing protective devices in the voltage transformersecondary circuit.
