28Important InformationReplacing the batteriesOnce the batteries are becoming exhausted, you will no longer beable to record or play back voice recordings. Before replacing thebatteries, be sure to read the following information carefully andobserve the instructions closely.Batteries used• Recorded data is stored in the audio files in a proprietary format. Itis not possible to play audio files recorded using the recorder onyour PC using Windows Media Player or similar applications.• Do not connect the recorder to your PC when the batteries aredead or if there are no batteries in the recorder. Doing so couldcause the recorder to malfunction or could result in the recordernot being recognized as an external drive by the PC.Disconnecting the digital voice recorder• After confirming that data transfer is complete and performing theprocedure for removing hardware from the personal computer,unplug the USB cable from the digital voice recorder.• The recorder remains in “LINK…” status until it is disconnectedfrom the PC.Notes:• Remove the batteries if the recorder will not be used for along period.• Never remove batteries while the recorder is operating.Removing the batteries during recording, while recording ispaused, during playback, or while erasing is in progresscould result in recorded data not being saved or in loss of allrecorded data.• Leaving depleted batteries in the recorder may result inbattery fluid leakage and damage to the recorder.Type Model QuantityAAA-size alkaline batteries LR03 2Use only the designated battery type. Other batteries may havedifferent capacities or voltages and could cause malfunctions orfaults. |
