Settings 119Enabling/Disabling the PIN CodeIf the PIN code is enabled you are asked to enter thePIN code each time the phone is switched on. Your PINcode is registered on the SIM card and you should havebeen made aware of the code when you purchased theSIM card. Contact your service provider for furtherdetails.“Settings”→ “Phone Settings”→ “Locks”→ “PINEntry”→ “Switch On/Off”1. Select “On” to enable the PIN code or “Off” todisable.2. Enter your PIN code.Note• If you enter the wrong PIN code three times in step 2,the SIM card will lock. To remove the lock, contactyour service provider/SIM card vendor.To Change the PIN CodeThis allows you to change the PIN code registered onthe SIM card. Before you change the PIN code, select“On” in step 1 in “Enabling/Disabling the PIN Code”.“Settings”→ “Phone Settings”→ “Locks”→ “PINEntry”→ “Change PIN”1. Enter the existing PIN code.2. Enter a new PIN code.3. Enter the new PIN code again.Changing the PIN2 CodeThe PIN2 code is used to protect certain functions in thephone such as Fixed Dialling Number and call costlimits. The following shows you how to change thePIN2 code. This menu may not be displayed dependingon the type of your SIM card.“Settings”→ “Phone Settings”→ “Locks”→“Change PIN2”1. Enter the existing PIN2 code.2. Enter a new PIN2 code.3. Enter the new PIN2 code again.Handset LockThe Handset Lock prevents unauthorised use of thephone or certain features on the phone when the poweris turned on.
