Manufactured to a high standard, this product will, if used according to theseinstructions, and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. NOTE THE SAFE OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, WARNINGS & CAUTIONS. USETHE PRODUCT CORRECTLY AND WITH CARE FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE DAMAGE AND/ORPERSONAL INJURY AND WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS SAFE FOR FUTURE USE.1. SAFETY1.1. GENERAL SAFETY. WARNING: Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow allinstructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.9 Save all warning and instructions for future reference.9 Maintain the Impact Wrench and battery in good condition. Check moving parts alignment on a regular basis.9 Replace or repair damaged parts. Use an authorised service agent and recommended parts only. Unauthorised parts may bedangerous and will invalidate the warranty.9 Ensure the Impact Wrench is switched off before installing the battery pack.9 Keep the Impact Wrench and charger clean for best and safest performance.9 Remove ill fitting clothing. Remove ties, watches, rings and other loose jewellery and contain long hair.9 Evaluate your working area before using the Impact Wrench; e.g. ceilings, floors and enclosures may contain electrical items orwater piping9 Ensure battery pack is correctly inserted into the Impact Wrench handle and latched in place before attempting to switch on ImpactWrench.9 Secure loose work pieces with a clamp, vice or other adequate holding device.9 Avoid unintentional starting.9 Wear approved safety eye protection (standard spectacles are not adequate).9 Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not slippery and wear non-skid shoes.9 Keep direction switch in the locked position until the Impact Wrench is required for use.9 Keep children and bystanders away whilst operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control9 Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark area invites accidents.8 DO NOT use the Impact Wrench where there are flammable liquids, solids or gases, such as paint solvents, etc.8 DO NOT allow children to operate the Impact Wrench.8 DO NOT operate the Impact Wrench if any parts are missing as this may cause failure and/or personal injury.8 DO NOT hold unsecured work piece in your hand.8 DO NOT leave the Impact Wrench operating unattended.8 DO NOT carry the Impact Wrench with your finger on the power switch. Keep direction switch in the locked position.8 DO NOT use the Impact Wrench for a task it is not designed to perform.8 DO NOT operate the Impact Wrench when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.8 DO NOT get the Impact Wrench or battery charger wet or use in damp or wet locations. Water entering a power tool will increase therisk of electric shock8 DO NOT operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids,gases or dust. Power toolscreate sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes1.2. PERSONAL SAFETY9 Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool whilst you aretired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment inattention whilst operating power tools may result in seriousinjury.9 Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes,hard hat or hearing protection use for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.9 Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying thetool. Carrying power tools with your fingers on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.9 Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpectedsituations.9 Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes,jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts and ignore tool safety principles. A careless action can cause severe injury9 within a fraction of a second.8 DO NOT force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and saferat the rate for which it was designed.8 DO NOT use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off.
