SAFETY MANUALUSING YOUR DIGITAL CAMERASAFELY AND CORRECTLY• Before using your camera, please read andunderstand these safety instructions as wellas the instruction manual for your camera.• Keep all manuals in a safe place for laterreference.67• These safety instructions cover both thecamera and its accessories.Depending on which product was purchased,the camera specifications and accessoriesmay differ.CAUTIONS CONCERNING BOTHCAMERA AND ACCESSORIESWARNING■ If a device emits smoke,makes a strange noise, emitsa strange odor, or becomesexcessively hot, immediatelyturn off the power andproceed as follows• If a device is used under theseconditions, it may cause a fire orelectric shock.1. Turn off the device.2. When use the docking station or ACadaptor/charger, unplug the powercord from the power outlet.3. Remove the battery.• After completing these actions, waitto make sure no more smokecomes from the device. Then take itto the dealer for service. Do not tryto repair or open the deviceyourself.■ Do not use during a storm• To avoid the risk of being struck bylightning, do not use the devicesduring a thunderstorm. Inparticular, if used in an open field,you have an increased chance ofbeing struck by lightning. Quicklyseek refuge in a place that willprotect you from lightning.■ Keep the devices out of thereach of children• The following may happen ifchildren play with the devices:• They may wrap the neckstraparound their neck and suffocate.• They may swallow small parts,such as the battery or card. Insuch a case, consult a physicianimmediately.• They may damage theireyesight if the flash or LED lightgoes off too close to their eyes.• They may get hurt by thecamera or other devices.■ Do not disassemble ormodify• It is dangerous to touch the insideof the devices. Doing so maycause a fire or electric shock.• The camera, especially,incorporates high-voltage circuits.• Any internal check, setting, orrepair should be performed by thedealer.• Do not use the AC adaptor as adirect current generator. |
