12Remote control210516 144173HOW TO INSTALL BATTERIES1. Open the battery compartment cover.2. Install two “AAA” batteries (not supplied).3. Replace the battery compartment cover.Before using the remote control, batteries must first be installed.Use two “AAA” size batteries. The batteries may lastapproximately one year depending on how much theremote control is used. For best performance, it isrecommended that batteries should be replaced on ayearly basis, or when the remote operation becomeserratic. Do not mix old and new batteries or differenttypes.BATTERY PRECAUTIONSThese precautions should be followed when usingbatteries in this device:Use only the size and type of batteries specified.Be sure to follow the correct polarity wheninstalling the batteries as indicated in the batterycompartment. Reversed batteries may causedamage to the device.Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g.Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with freshones.If the device is not to be used for a long period oftime, remove the batteries to prevent damage orinjury from possible battery leakage.Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to berecharged; they can overheat and rupture. (Followbattery manufacturer’s directions.)•••••1.POWER Button - Used to turn the power on/off tothe LCD TV.2.Direct Channel Selection Buttons (0-9) - Allowsdirect access to any channel of the LCD TV.3.– Button -This button is the “–” button usedwhen selecting digital channels. Also can displaythe current channel number when viewing theprogram.4.SLEEP Button - To set the LCD TV to turn offafter a preset amount of time, use the SLEEPbutton on the remote control.5.CH (CHANNEL) + / – / CURSOR /Buttons - Used to operate the menu functions ofthe LCD TV, and to change the channels of theLCD TV.6.MENU Button - Use to display the On-Screenmenu function.7.RESET Button - Press to reset the On-Screenpicture adjustments to their factory preset positions.To use this function, select “Picture” or “Audio” inthe menu screen, then press this button.8.INPUT SELECT Button - Use to change theexternal input.9.SCREEN SIZE Button - Used to change thepicture size.10.RECALL Button - This button allows you to goback to the previous channel selected by justpressing the RECALL button. Press this buttonagain to return to the channel you were watching.11.MUTE Button - To turn off the sound, press thisbutton once. The LCD TV will be silenced andthe symbol “Mute” will appear on the screen. Themuting feature can be released by pressing theMUTE button again or one of the VOL (VOLUME)+ or – buttons.12.VOL (VOLUME) + / – / CURSOR / Buttons- Used to operate the menu functions of the LCDTV. Press the button to increase, or the buttonto decrease the sound level.13.ENTER Button - Use to enter or selectinformation for On-Screen operations.14.EXIT Button - Press to remove setup menu.15.CCD Button - Used to display the Closed Captionmenu screen.16.DISPLAY Button - When you press this button,the current information will be displayed on ascreen.
