It turns off if no key is pressedwithin a given period of time, depending on theBack Light menu option. After one minute, thedisplay turns off to conserve your battery power.To specify the length of time the backlight is active,set the Back Light menu option (Menu 4.7.2).See page 87 for further details.You can also set the phone to use the backlight onlyduring a specified period of time, in the Auto Lightmenu option (Menu 4.7.3). See page 88 forfurther details.External DisplayYour phone has an external display on the cover. Itindicates when you have an incoming call or amessage. It also alerts you at the specified timewhen you set an alarm by turning on its backlightand showing corresponding icon on it.When you close the folder, the display turns off sothat you can use it as a mirror.
