Selecting - thepower level is set at position 9, while selecting +the power level is set at position 5. You candisconnect the cooking area by pressing thesymbols + and - at the same time.Temperature controlDepending on the appliance model, it may be fittedwith a Booster system which can be used to speedup cooking times through the application of a powerlevel which is greater than the nominal value, with ina defined period of time. The cooking zones whichcan be used in conjunction with this function areindicated in fig. 8.To activate the Booster, switch the interestedcooking area on at any power level and press keyP (fig. 8F). This allows to reach higher temperaturesin a short time disbursing the maximum powerpossible. Once the function is activated, a P willappear on the display. The function will last for 10minutes then the cooking zone will automaticallycome back to the power level 9.The Booster maybe activated at its Maximum power level on 2 cookingzones, one on the right hand side of the hob and theother on the left hand side of the hob. If the Boosteris activated at the same time in otherparts of thecooking area, the power will be slightly lesseneduntil the end of functioning. (fig.8)Switching the appliance offPress key A to switch the cooker top off.Using the child safety lockTo prevent use the cooker surface by children, it ispossible to block all functions by pressing the Dkey. If the small hotplate is equipped with anextended hotplate ring then the second zone willactivate when the corresponding knob P is touchedand held for 3 seconds (fig. 8F).At this point thehotplate will be ignited and the temperature may beregulated using the - or + knobs.This function canbe activated only if the hob is switched on.Timer:A Timer can be used simultaneously for eachcooking zone.Select the interested cooking zone at any power,pressing the E key (timer), one led will indicate thecorresponding cooking zone. Then with the keys+ and – select the cooking time desired.Once the set cooking time has elapsed, the timerswitches off and deselects the cooking zones.�������Fig.10Hob Use (continued) GB
