BD Wise (Samsung TVs only)BD Wise is Samsung’s latest inter-connectivityfeature.When you connect a Samsung player and aSamsung TV with BD Wise to each other viaHDMI, and BD Wise is on in both the playerand TV, the player outputs video at the videoresolution and frame rate of the Blu-ray Disc/DVDs.✎ NOTES When BD Wise is on, the Resolution settingautomatically defaults to BD Wise and BDWise appears in the Resolution menu. If the player is connected to a device thatdoes not support BD Wise, you cannot usethe BD Wise function. For proper operation of BD Wise, set the BDWise menu of both the player and the TV toOn.ResolutionLets you set the output resolution of theHDMI video signal to Auto, 1080p, 1080i,720p or 576p/480p. The number indicatesthe number of lines of video per frame. Thei and p indicate interlaced and progressivescan, respectively. Do you want to change theresolution?" appears. If you select Yes, theTV’s screen will go blank for 15 seconds,and then the resolution will revert to theprevious resolution automatically. If the screen stays blank after you havechanged the resolution, remove all discs,and then press and hold the p buttonon the front of the player for more than 5seconds. All settings are restored to thefactory default. Follow the steps on theprevious page to access each mode andselect the Display Setup that your TV willsupport. When the factory default settings arerestored, all stored user BD data is deleted. The Blu-ray Disc must have the 24 framefeature for the player to use the MovieFrame (24 fps) mode.Movie Frame (24 fps)Setting the Movie Frame (24 fps) feature toAuto allows you to adjust the player’s HDMIoutput to 24 frames per second for improvedpicture quality.You can enjoy the Movie Frame (24 fps)feature only on a TV supporting this framerate. You can select Movie Frame only whenthe player is in the HDMI 1080p outputresolution modes.HDMI Colour FormatLets you set the colour space format forHDMI output to match the capabilities of theconnected device (TV, monitor, etc).HDMI Deep ColourLets you output video from the HDMI OUTjack with Deep Colour. Deep Colour providesmore accurate colour reproduction withgreater colour depth.Progressive ModeLets you improve picture quality when viewingDVDs.Sound SettingsDigital OutputLets you select the digital audio output formatthat is suitable for your TV or AV Receiver.
