The 269 gives you independent control of this area,regardless of whether the rest of your security system is armedor disarmed.Features of the Model 269 include protection status displayindicators, entry and exit delay time, prewarning sounder anduser programmable passcode.The Zone Control DisplayThe Zone Control has two protection status display indicators: aSTATUS indicator and an ARMED indicator.STATUSWhen the green indicator is lit, the specified area is ready to bearmed. When the green indicator is not lit, there is a faultedsensor in the specified area. Correcting the fault usually meansclosing a door or a window.ARMEDWhen the red indicator is lit, the area is armed. When the redindicator is not lighted, the area is not armed.The KeypadThe Zone Control has a digital keypad used to enter yourpersonal passcode into the security system. It is your personalpasscode which arms and disarms the specified area.When entering your passcode, if the Zone Control emits a shortwarning tone each time you touch a key, check the STATUSlight, as this indicates a problem with a device in the protectedarea.Arming the Specified Area1) Ensure that the specified area is secure. The greenSTATUS indicator light must be on.2) Enter your personal passcode. The red ARMED indicatorlight flashes on and off to indicate exit delay time(approximately 60 seconds). When the ARMED indicatorlights steadily, the specified delay area is armed.R
