Displaying the deviceinformation of this unitYou can display the device information of thisunit such as the BD address and the devicename.Should this unit fails to operate properly andyou consult with dealer for repair, you may beasked to indicate the system versions of thisunit and of Bluetooth module. You can displaythe versions and confirm them.! Each device featuring Bluetooth wirelesstechnology is allocated a unique 48-bit de-vice address. Each device address consistsof a 12-digit of hexadecimal string.% Display and switch the device informa-tionRefer to Function compatibility charts on page26.Each time you operate according to Functioncompatibility charts the information changesin the following order:BD (Bluetooth Device) address—Device name(PIONEER)—System version—Bluetooth mod-ule version# On your cellular phone, you can confirm thedevice name of this unit as Pioneer BT unit.Connecting a Bluetoothaudio playerFor this unit to control your Bluetooth audioplayer it needs to establish a Bluetooth wire-less connection.This function initiates the connection via Blue-tooth wireless technology.ImportantWhen using this unit as an external unit, the PINcode is set to 0000. You can not change the PINcode. This unit can connect only the Bluetoothaudio player which request 0000 as the PIN codeor does not request any PIN code.1 Put the unit in C.OPEN modeRefer to Function compatibility charts on page26.This unit is now on standby for connectionfrom Bluetooth audio player.If your Bluetooth audio player is set ready forBluetooth wireless connection, the connectionto this unit will be automatically established.# Before you put the unit in C.OPEN modeNO AUDIO is displayed.2 Use the Bluetooth audio player to con-nect to this unit.When the connection is established,BT AUDIO is displayed.# Operation varies depending on the type ofyour Bluetooth audio player.
