Installationor servicing of this product by personswithout training and experience inelectronic equipment and automotiveaccessories may be dangerous andcould expose you to the risk of electricshock, injury or other hazards.• Do not allow this product to comeinto contact with liquids. Also, damage to theproduct, smoke, and overheating couldresult from contact with liquids.• If liquid or foreign matter should getinside this product, park your vehiclein a safe place, turn the ignition switchoff (ACC OFF) immediately and consultyour dealer or the nearest authorizedPioneer Service Station. Do not usethis product in this condition becausedoing so may result in a fire, electricshock, or other failure.• If you notice smoke, a strange noise orodor from this product, or any otherabnormal signs on the LCD screen, turnoff the power immediately and consultyour dealer or the nearest authorizedPioneer Service Station. Using thisproduct in this condition may result inpermanent damage to the system.• Do not disassemble or modify thisproduct, as there are high-voltagecomponents inside which may causean electric shock. Be sure to consultyour dealer or the nearest authorizedPioneer Service Station for internalinspection, adjustments or repairs.A cAUTIONWhen a route is calculated, the routeand voice guidance for the route areautomatically set. Also, for day or timetraffic regulations, only informationabout traffic regulations applicable atthe time when the route was calculatedis considered. One-way streets andstreet closures may not be taken intoconsideration. For example, if a street isopen during the morning only, but youarrive later, it would be against the trafficregulations so you cannot drive along theset route. When driving, please follow theactual traffic signs. Also, the system maynot know some traffic regulations.Before using this product, be sure to readand fully understand the following safetyinformation:The navigation features of this product(and rear view camera option ifpurchased) are intended solely as anaid to you in the operation of yourvehicle. It is not a substitute for yourattentiveness, judgment, and carewhen driving.Do not operate this product, anyapplications, or the rear view cameraoption (if purchased) if doing so willdivert your attention in any way fromthe safe operation of your vehicle.Always observe safe driving rules andfollow all existing traffic regulations. Ifyou experience difficulty in operatingthis product or reading the display,park your vehicle in a safe location andapply the parking brake before makingthe necessary adjustments.Never use this product to route tohospitals, police stations or similarfacilities in an emergency. It may notaccurately reflect the latest permissibleroutes, road conditions, one way streets,road closures, or traffic restrictions.• Traffic restrictions and advisoriescurrently in force should always takeprecedence over guidance given bythis product.
