OperatingInstructions• Check if the recorder ventilation holes or cooling fan are blocked,and also check for dust collected around the ventilation holes.6• The ambient operating temperature is +5 °C to +45 °C {41 °F to113 °F}. The "Thermal error" is displayed based on the internalthermal information of the HDD. If the "Thermal error" indication isdisplayed, it is recommended to change the installation environ-ment so that the ambient temperature is maintained at approx.+25 °C {77 °F}. When the "Thermal error" indication is displayedfrequently, contact your dealer.13The clock of the recorder maykeep bad time.• The clock function of the recorder is accurate within ±30 secondsper month.To keep the correct recording, set the time periodically, or enablethe auto time adjustment function on the rear panel terminal, orconfigure the system using the NTP function so as to keep the cor-rect current time.–[STS] indicator of the HDD unitlights/blinks red.• The hard disk drive is faulty. Contact your dealer. –The extension unit is notrecognized.(When an extension unit isconnected)• Make sure that the connection cable provided with the extensionunit is being used.14• Make sure that the connection cable is not loose. 14• Was the power of the extension unit turned on before turning onthe power of the recorder?Turn off the power of the recorder and the extension unit. Turn on theextension unit before turning on the power of the recorder.27• When using a circuit breaker or equivalent device to turn on/off thepower of the whole system at one time, make sure that all devicesare connected to the same power source.–• When using an UPS (uninterruptible power system), connect alldevices to the same UPS.–The HDD unit is not identified.[STS] indicator of the HDD unitis not on.• Make sure that the HDD unit is inserted all the way into the HDD slot. 32• The hard disk drive is faulty. –"EXTu ERR INITIAL ERR" isdisplayed on the LCD of therecorder.u: Unit number• Initialize an applicable extension unit. OperatingInstructions"Error" indictor blinks red. • The system is out of order.
