3 English1. If connecting to an external amplifier that exceeds therated input for the speakers, keep the amplifier volumesuitably low to protect the speakers from damage. If anyproblems occur with speaker operation, disconnect themains lead of the amplifier and consult a qualified servicetechnician.2. Do not place the speakers in the following places:• Areas that are exposed to direct sunlight• Near heaters or other heat sources• Areas subject to high humidity3. This set is equipped with magnetic resistant speakers.However be careful not to place it near a CRT as it maycause color patches.4. To clean the speakers, wipe them with a soft cloth. Ifthey are extremely dirty, wipe them with a cloth that hasbeen soaked in a small amount of household detergent,and then wipe them dry with a separate cloth.• Do not use solvents such as alcohol or thinner.• If using chemically-treated cloths, follow theinstructions supplied with the cloth packaging.Notes on use• Secure the top and bottom mounting brackets bytightening the bracket mounting screws.• Secure the left speaker in the same way.• To change the amount of clearance between thespeakers and the display, loosen the bracketmounting screws, make adjustments as desired,and then tighten the screws.• Tighten the bracket mounting screws securely sothat the speakers are not loose and do not rattle.4. Secure the speakers inplace.• Insert the hooks and pin on the top and bottommounting brackets simultaneously into the slots atthe rear of the plasma display, and then lower thespeaker into place.• Attach the left speaker in the same way.3. Attach the speakers to thePlasma Display.• After preparing the ends of the speaker cables, connect them as shown.• The red cable is for the (+) side and the black cable is for the (-) side. Do not connect the cables to the wrong sides.• When connecting the speaker cable, make sure that the core of the cord does not short.5.
