cause malfunction.To avoid this problem a gap of 0.5mm or more shouldbe left between the display bezel edges at installation.Do not take hold of the display in such a way thatyour fingers or hands put pressure on the liquidcrystal panel.• Do not put force on the liquid crystal panel, or pressor push it, or allow it to make contact with a hard orsharp object. Applying force to the liquid crystal panelcan distort the screen, make it uneven, and causemalfunction .Changes of temperature or humidity may cause thebrightness of the display to be uneven. This is not amalfunction.• The unevenness will disappear after the display hasbeen running for some time. If the problem persists,consult the distributor.Red, blue or green dots on the screen are a liquidcrystal panel-specific phenomenon. This is not amalfunction.• Although the liquid crystal display is manufacturedwith high-precision technology, always-lighting dots ornon-lighting dots may appear on the screen. Never divulge your password should youever receive such request.• The connecting network must be secured by afirewall, and precautions against malware and virusesshould be taken.• Before disposing of this product, destroy all data[General settings]-[Factory settings].Notes on Using Wired LANTake the necessary antistatic measures beforesetting up the Display in a location prone toelectrostatic interference.• If the Display is used in a place where electrostaticdischarge is frequent, such as in a carpeted venue,disconnection of a wired LAN can become a nuisance.In such a case, remove the source of the problem,relocate the LAN cable, and install an anti-static mat.• In rare cases, a LAN connection can be disabled bystatic electricity or noise. Turning the power to theDisplay and all the connected devices, off and on again,will most times restore the LAN connection.The Display may not work properly in the presence ofstrong radio waves from a broadcast station or evena radio.• If there should be a facility or equipment, whichoutputs strong radio waves near the installation, movethe Display to a place far enough away to avoid theproblem. Or the LAN cable can be shielded by awrapping of metal foil that is continuous with the LANterminal ground, or by being placed inside a metalconduit which is properly grounded at both ends.Cleaning and maintenanceThe front of the liquid crystal panel has been speciallytreated. Wipe the surface of the liquid crystal panelgently using only an LCD cleaning cloth, or other softlint-free cloth.• If the surface is particularly dirty, wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth which has been slightly damped with purewater, or water to which one drop of a neutral detergenthas been added. After this wipe with a lint-free cloth untilthe surface is dry.• Do not scratch the surface of the panel with a fingernailor other hard object to remove dirt, this may damage thesurface. Furthermore, avoid spraying insect repellantnear the display and also avoid using any kind of solventsuch as thinners near the screen. These fluids can havean adverse effect on the surface.If the housing becomes dirty, wipe it with a soft, drycloth.• If the housing should become particularly dirty, wipe itwith a cloth slightly damped with water to which a dropof neutral detergent has been added. Use this cloth towipe the cabinet and then wipe it dry with another cloth.• Do not allow any detergent to come into direct contactwith the surface of the Display. Make sure the cloth isonly damp. If water droplets get inside the unit, operatingproblems may be the result.• Volatile substances such as insect sprays, solventsand thinners, can harm not only the screen but also theDisplay housing. The coating may be adversely affectedand may even peel off. Do not allow articles made ofrubber or PVC to remain in contact with the Displayhousing for any length of time.Using a chemical cloth• Do not use a chemical cloth on the panel surface.• Follow the instructions for using the chemical cloth onthe Display housing.DisposalWhen you wish to dispose of this product, ask yourlocal authority or dealer about how this should bedone.English8
