Bad extension card. • Exchange the card for a known workingone.Bad connection between theHybrid IP-PBX and telephone.• Take the telephone and plug it into thesame extension port using a shorttelephone cord. If the telephone works,then the connection between the HybridIP-PBX and the telephone must berepaired.A telephone with an A-A1 relayis connected.• Use a 2-wire cord.• Set the A-A1 relay switch of thetelephone to the "OUT" or "OFF"position.Bad telephone. • Take the telephone and plug it intoanother extension port that is working.If the telephone does not work, replacethe telephone.Wrong type of PSU. • Replace the PSU with the appropriatetype.An unsupported extension card(SLC16 or MSLC16 card) isinstalled.• Replace the optional service card withan appropriate one (ESLC16 orEMSLC16 card).You cannot make/receive outsidecalls.An unsupported trunk card(LCOT4, LCOT8, or LCOT16card) is installed.• Replace the optional service card withan appropriate one (ELCOT16 card).The Hybrid IP-PBX does notoperate properly.• Press the Reset Button (refer to "4.1.4Using the Reset Button").• Turn off the power switch, and then turnit back on.• Turn off the power switch, and thenunplug the Hybrid IP-PBX. After 5minutes, plug the Hybrid IP-PBX backin, and turn the power switch back on.Noise on external paging. Induced noise on the wirebetween the Hybrid IP-PBX andthe amplifier.• Use a shielded cable as the connectionwire between the Hybrid IP-PBX andamplifier. A short shielded cable isrecommended.Distorted external music.
