4.1 Troubleshooting140 Installation Manual4.1.3 OperationPROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE SOLUTION• When using thespeakerphone on anAPT, nothing is audible.• The HANDSET/HEADSET selector isset to the "HEADSET"position.• When the headset is not used, set theHANDSET/HEADSET selector to the"HANDSET" position.• When using thespeakerphone/monitormode with a DPT,nothing is audible.• The "HEADSET" modeis selected by PersonalProgramming,"Handset/HeadsetSelection".• When the headset is not used, selectthe "HANDSET" mode by PersonalProgramming.• The PT does not ring. • The ringer volume is off. • Turn on the ringer volume.• During a power failure,extensions connected toports 1 and 2 of superhybrid ports do notoperate.• A DPT or APT isconnected to theextension port.• The dialing mode (toneor pulse) is incorrect.• Disconnect the DPT or APT andconnect an SLT.• Set the Tone/Pulse switch to the otherposition.• Originating an outsidecall, call transfer, orconference cannot beperformed.• The corresponding CObutton does not exist onthe PT.• Program the CO button.
