PAGE 29 SMED SEMI VERTICAL - HUSSMANNCAUTION: Product will be degradedand may spoil if allowed to sit in a non-refrigerated area.WARNING: Do NOT allow cleaningagent or cloth to contact food product.WEAR APPROPRIATE PPE GEARWHILST CLEANING.• Rinse with warm water, but do NOT flood. Neverintroduce water faster than the waste outlet canremove it.• Allow merchandisers to dry before resumingoperation.• After cleaning is completed, turn on power andrefrigerant to the merchandiser.• Verify that merchandiser is working properly (ie.achieves control temperature).• Restock cabinet with refrigerated product.Use non-abrasive cleaning materials, and always polishwith grain of the steel. Use warm water or add a milddetergent to the water and apply with a cloth. Alwayswipe dry after wetting to avoid stains.Use non-chlorine containing cleaners such as windowcleaners and mild detergents. Do not use cleanerscontaining salts as this may cause pitting and rusting ofthe stainless steel finish. Do not use bleach.Clean frequently to avoid build-up of hard, stubbornstains. A Food grade stainless steel cleaning solutionmay be used periodically to minimize scratching andremove stains. Rinse and wipe dry immediately aftercleaning. Never use hydrochloric acid (muriatic acid)on stainless steel.Remove splashguards not sealed to floor. Use a vacuumwith a long wand attachment to remove accumulateddust and debris from under the merchandiser. Ensurethis is undertaken by qualified personnel. Cautionneeds to be taken below case around power cables,drainage, ensuring nothing is dislodged during thecleaning process.Wear apppropriate PPE.NEVER USE SHARP OBJECTS AROUND COILS. Use a softbrush and water to clean debris from coils.Do not puncture coils!Do not bend fins. Contact an authorized servicetechnician if a coil is punctured, cracked, or otherwisedamaged.Do NOT use chlorine or ammonia-based cleaners.ICE in or on the coil indicates the refrigeration anddefrost cycle is not operating properly. Contact anauthorized service technician to determine the causeof icing, and to make adjustments as necessary.
