ADDITIONAL SAFETYRULESSafety instructions for allsawsDANGER• Keep hands away from cutting area andthe blade. Keep your second hand onauxiliary handle, or motor housing. If bothhands are holding the saw, they cannot becut by the blade.• Do not reach underneath the workpiece.The guard cannot protect you from theblade below the workpiece.• Adjust the cutting depth to the thicknessof the workpiece. Less than a full tooth ofthe blade teeth should be visible below theworkpiece.• Never hold piece being cut in your handsor across your leg. Secure the workpieceto a stable platform. It is important to sup-port the work properly to minimize bodyexposure, blade binding, or loss of control.• Hold power tool by insulated grippingsurfaces when performing an operationwhere the cutting tool may contact hid-den wiring or its own cord. Contact witha “live” wire will also make exposed metalparts of the power tool “live” and shock theoperator.• When ripping always use a rip fence orstraight edge guide. This improves theaccuracy of cut and reduces the chance ofblade binding.• Always use blades with correct size andshape (diamond versus round) of arbourholes. Blades that do not match the mount-ing hardware of the saw will run eccentri-cally, causing loss of control.• Never use damaged or incorrect bladewashers or bolt. The blade washers andbolt were specially designed for your saw,for optimum performance and safety ofoperation.
