To ensure that the airconditioner operates correctly, do not install the remote controller inthe following places:• In direct sunlight• Behind a curtain or other places where it is covered• More than 26 ft.(8 m) away from the air conditioner• In the path of the air conditioner’s airstream• Where it may become extremely hot or cold• Where it may be subject to electrical or magnetic noise• Where there is an obstacle between the remote controller and airconditioner (since a check signal is sent from the remote controllerevery 5 minutes)MOUNTING THE REMOTE CONTROLLERBefore mounting the remote controller, press the ON/OFF operationbutton at the mounting location to make sure that the air conditioneroperates from that location. The indoor unit should make a beepingsound to indicate that it has received the signal.To take out the remote controller, pull it forward.WHEN HOLDING THE REMOTE CONTROLLER• When using the remote controller and during air conditioneroperation, the transmitter on the remote controller should bepointed towards the receiver on the indoor unit.• Make sure that there are no objects between the remote controllerand receiver which could block the signal.• The batteries last about six months,depending on how much you use theremote controller.
