11 Getting StartedUseful InformationTroubleshootingAppendixFirst-time Operation PreparationAAAA Check and identify the supplied accessories.If you do not find the described accessories, contact Panasonic Technical Support.z You will need the serial number when you reinstall B’s Recorder/B’s CLiP using Product Recovery DVD-ROM(Î page 26).BBBB Read the LIMITED USE LICENSE AGREEMENT before breaking the seal on the computer’s packaging(Î page 27).AAAA Slide the right latch (A) to the unlocked position ( ).BBBB Insert the battery pack in the correct direction until it securely fits the connec-tor.CCCC Slide the right latch (A) to the locked position ( ). To remove the battery packAAAA Slide the right latch (B) to the unlocked position ( ).BBBB Slide and hold the left latch (C) to the unlocked position ( ), and hold thecenter of the battery pack and push out in parallel with the bottom surface ofthe computer.CAUTIONz Make sure the latch is securely locked. Otherwise the battery pack may fall whenyou carry the computer.z Do not touch the terminals of the battery pack and the computer. Doing so canmake the terminals dirty or damaged, and may cause malfunction of the batterypack and the computer.The battery charging starts automatically.CAUTIONz Do not disconnect the AC adaptor and do not switch the wireless switch to onuntil the first-time operation procedure is completed.z When using the computer for the first time, do not connect any peripheral deviceexcept the battery pack and AC adaptor.zzzz Handling the AC adaptor• Do not twist or pull the AC power cord forcefully. Doing so may damage theconnections.• Use only the specified AC adaptor with your computer. Using an AC adaptorother than the one supplied might damage the battery and/or the computer.• When the DC plug is not connected to the computer, disconnect the AC cordfrom your AC wall outlet.• Problems such as sudden voltage drops may arise during periods of thunderand lightning.
