Any analog heat, smoke andmulti detector types 33xx / 430x can beplugged in the base. (For required type ofbase, see Product Leaflet for the detectortype respectively.)Short circuit isolatorThe analog base 4313 has a built-in shortcircuit isolator with the same functions asthe Addressable short circuit isolator 4370.The short circuit isolator will divide theCOM loop into segments. A segment is thepart of a loop between two isolators orbetween one isolator and the c.i.e. In case ofa short circuit on a COM loop, only theaffected segment will be disabled, i.e. thenumber of disabled loop units is minimised. All other loop units will continue to worknormally. Up to eight isolators (4313 and/or4370) can be connected on each COM loop.Easy connectionThe base has screw terminals for the COMloop (in/out) and an external indicator(LED), e.g. 2218.Label holderAn optional label holder could be mountedin the base (in the label holder recess) and isintended for a label showing "zone-address"etc. Can be read also when the detector isplugged in the base and is ceiling mounted.COM loop addressThe COM loop address for the isolator is setwith an Address setting tool 3314, which isalso used to set the mode:NORMAL mode: Short circuit isolator4313 in system EBL128.2330 mode: Short circuit isolator 4313(2370/4370 in Win512) in system EBL512.2312 mode: Not used for 4313.MiscellaneousThe base has an address label (Al) where thedetector's and isolator's COM loop addressescan be written.Individual fault signal is obtained if wrongtype of detector (compared with theprogramming) is plugged in the base or ifthe detector is unplugged. A short circuit ora single break (cut-off) on the loop willgenerate a fault and a fault message, e.g.short circuit or break, COM loop numberand between which isolators. For more information regarding detectortypes, connections, etc. see PlanningInstructions and connection diagrams for thesystem respectively.Product applicationsUsed in the systems EBL512 / 128 toincrease the COM loop safety. The base is intended for indoor use and indry premises.
