It has a clip retained front coverthat makes it easy to replace the glasselement and adds security since the clips areconcealed. The frangible element is a glasselement with a protective plastic film. Tooperate the call point, the glass element ispressed until it is broken. This will activatethe built-in microswitch, which will generatea fire alarm in the c.i.e.Test keyRoutine testing is made with a supplied testkey, without breaking the glass element.Inserting the test key simulates the breakingof the glass element. The call point isautomatically reset when the test key isremoved. The test key is also used torelease the security clips for the front cover.Protective coverTo protect the call point against accidentaloperation, a transparent polycarbonate coverhas to be lifted to get access to the glasselement.Encapsulated circuitAll electronics are encapsulated. Only theterminal block is accessible from the rear.LED indicatorAn LED on the front cover indicates firealarm generated by the call point.Flashing LED: The LED will flash eachtime the c.i.e. communicates with the callpoint, until the call point is operated and theLED is switched on.Non-flashing LED: The LED is switchedoff, until the call point is operated and theLED is switched on.Connections / SettingsThe COM loop is connected directly to thecall point via a 4-way terminal block. ForCOM loop address setting is the addresssetting tool 3314 is used. 3314 is also usedto set the call point type and the LED mode:• NORMAL mode (EBL512 SW version> 2.0 / EBL128): M.c.p. type 3333.(Flashing or non-flashing LED is set viaWin512 / Win128.)• 2330 mode: M.c.p. type 2333, flashingLED.• 2312 mode: M.c.p. type 2333, non-flashing LED.Two flying leads (wires) are connected tothe terminal block, for connection of the3314 address setting tool's connection cable.The wires are to be disconnected before theCOM loop wires are connected.Product applicationsUsed in the systems EBL512 / 128 / 1000 /2000 and is intended for indoor use and indry premises.
