The fan units and thematching ancillaries are fitted with circular spigots. Fans areavailable with duties up to 0.95m 3 /s. and are suitable for airextract or air input.Integral backdraught shutters fitted as standard. Access panelstop and bottom simplify installation and maintenance.Units are supplied complete with heavy gauge steel mountingfeet. Singlepak may be installed at any angle except verticallyblowing downwards and inverted horizontally.QSP (Quiet Singlepak) unit cases have fire resistant acousticlining.Fan is easily serviced after removal of the access panel. Eachassembly is electrically terminated in a connector box inside theunit casing. Supply cable enters unit through cable grommetprovided on case side. The motors have thermal overload protection and sealed for lifebearings. Forward curved centrifugal impellers are fitted.A matching range of ancillaries including silencers, filters andheaters is available.Auto Transformer or Electronic speed controls are available. Arun on timer is avauilable giving automatic operation whenlinked to a light switch or similar source.HandlingAlways handle the units carefully to avoid damage and distor-tion. If mechanical aids are used to lift the unit, spreaders shouldbe employed and positioned so as to prevent the slings, webbingetc. making contact with the casing.MountingThe method of mounting used is the total responsibility of theinstaller.Note that the unit is supplied with flange holes, see fig. 1. Themounting feet (supplied) can be attached at any of these pointsand the unit may be installed at any angle.InstallationUnits should always be positioned with sufficient space to allowremoval of the access covers and subsequent removal of fan andmotor assemblies etc.Note: when the unit is mounted horizontally the correct orien-tation must be observed as indicated by direction labels on theside of the unit case. Note Do not install the unit inverted.Speed Controls andRemote Fan Failure Indicator. These controls may be mounted onto any firm surface using thefixing holes provided in the base. Drill and plug the mountingsurface, positioning the control or indicator so that the coverscrews remain accessible. This is particularly important if a bat-tery of controls is being installed. Fix the unit using suitablewoodscrews (not supplied). For wiring purposes, the control orindicator cover has knock out slots for cable entry to suit up to20mm conduit.Testing after InstallationEnsure that the Singlepak unit and Control / Remote FanFailure Indicator, as relevant, are fitted.Switch on and check that the Singlepak unit runs satisfactorily. If a NuAire Transformer speed control has been installed checkthat the correct speed variation is obtained. For electronic type speed controls follow the installation set-upprocedure provided with the control.Switch off. If a Run-on Timer (230 RTIM) is fitted, check thatthe fan continues to run.Time the run-on period, which is adjustable between 5 and 30minutes nominal.Timer controls are set at the works to the shortest period.Contents PageIntroduction ............................................... 1Installation ............................................... 1Testing after Installation ............................ 1Dimensions ................................................... 2Motor Details .............................................. 3Electrical Diagrams ................................. 4Maintenance ............................................. 6Replacement of parts ................................ 6Certification ................................................. 8Rating plateMountingfeet supplied Connectionterminal boxRemovableaccess panelRemovableaccess panel1
