eco PDU PE Series User Manual71IP Address DeterminationIf you are an administrator logging in for the first time, you need to access theeco PDU in order to give it an IP address that users can connect to. There aretwo methods to choose from. In each case, your client computer must be on thesame network segment as the eco PDU. After you have connected and loggedin you can give the device its fixed network address. (See Device Management,page 49.)Method 1:For computers running Windows, an IP address can be determined and/orassigned with the IP Installer utility. The utility can be obtained from theDownload area of our web site or from the software CD. Look under Driver/SW, and the model of your device. After downloading the utility to yourcomputer, do the following:1. Unzip the contents of IPInstaller.zip to a directory on your hard drive.2. Go to the directory that you unzipped the IPInstaller program to and runIPInstaller.exe. A dialog box similar to the one below appears:(Continues on next page.)
