47Before Requesting ServiceBefore requesting service, check the following items.PROBLEMNo PowerVideo cassette cannot be insertedAuto Play does not workTV programmes cannot be recordedTimer recording does not workNo playback picturePlayback picture is noisy or containsstreaksTop of playback pictures wavesback and forth excessivelyIs tracking correct? Adjust the horizontal hold control onthe TV.If no result, play another tape.Press TRK (+/-).If the picture is still noisy, then pressCURSOR (DD/EE) to set correcttracking.Is TV tuned to the VCR RF outputchannel?Tune the TV to the VCR’s RF outputchannel.Is connection between VCR andaerial correct?Has the receiving channel of VCRbeen tuned correctly?Is erasure prevention tab intact?Has the recording start / end timesbeen set correctly?Is the timer recordingindicator TIMER lit?Check and correct the connections.Tune into the channel correctly.If broken off, fix adhesive tape overthe hole.Set the times correctly. If there is a power interruptionbefore or during timer recording,timer recording will be interrupted.Make sure the timer recordingindicator TIMER lights.Is erasure prevention tab intact? Auto Play only works when erasureprevention tab has been broken off.Is there a video cassette already in? Replace it. Insert the video cassette with thewindow side up and the safety tabfacing you.Unit plugged in? Plug in the power cord and switch on.CHECK CORRECTION
