Connect as shown above to terminals 16-27. Normally Closed(N.C.) devices may be wired in series or Normally Open (N.O.) devices may be wired in parallel. Use the 2.2K Ohmend-of-line (E.O.L.) resistor in each zone, if selected in programming (refer to the GEM-X255 Programming Instructions).Zones 1-8 can be selected for a ìFast Loop Response (10ms or 50 ms)î or a ìNormal Loop Response (750 ms)î. Otherzone options include Zone Type (Entry/Exit, Interior, 24 Hour Protection, Trouble and Fire), Instant, Chime, Area Selectionand Relay Output selection.RESET OUTPUTReset Output can be activated depending on the programming options selected (see GEM-X255 Programming Instructions). Connect the device controlled by the programmable outputbetween terminal 15 (+) and terminal 14 (-).15RESETOUTPUTThe GEM-X255 Control Panel may be expanded up to 96 zones. This may be accomplished by adding 88 zones to thebasic 8 zone configuration. Hardwired zone expanders include: GEM-EZM4 (4 additonal zones per module), GEM-EZM8(8 additional zones per module) and GEM-RP1CAe2 Keypad (4 additional zones per keypad). Wireless zone expandersinclude: GEM-RECV8 (8 additional zones per receiver), GEM-RECV16 (16 additional zones per receiver) and GEM-RECV96 (88 additional zones per receiver).
