9 ENGLISHFUNCTIONALDESCRIPTIONCAUTION: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and the battery cartridge is removedbefore adjusting or checking function on the tool.Replacing battery caseOptional accessoryInstall one of the battery cases optionally available inthree ranges of sizes to fit your battery cartridge andcord connected power source.► Fig.1: 1. Battery case S (standard equipped batterycase) 2. Battery case L 3. Battery case H1. Open the standard equipped battery case whilepressing the buttons on sides of the case.2. Loosen the screws securing the standardequipped battery case, and slide the battery case offalong the housing.► Fig.2: 1. Standard equipped battery case 2. Screws3. Housing3. Slide an optional battery case into the tool. Openthe case while pressing the buttons on sides of thecase. Then tighten the screws to secure it in place.► Fig.3: 1. Optional battery case 2. Screws4. Close the battery case securely.Installing and removing batterycartridgeCAUTION: Before installing and removingbattery cartridge, always make sure to set theswitch trigger back into the “OFF” position bypulling the switch trigger fully and releasing it.CAUTION: Hold the tool and the battery car-tridge firmly when installing or removing batterycartridge. Failure to hold the tool and the batterycartridge firmly may cause them to slip off your handsand result in damage to the tool and battery cartridgeand a personal injury.CAUTION: Always install the battery cartridgefully until the red indicator cannot be seen. If not,it may accidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury toyou or someone around you.CAUTION: Do not install the battery cartridgeforcibly. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, it isnot being inserted correctly.CAUTION: Take care not to trap your fingersbetween the battery case and its front cover whileinstalling and removing battery cartridge.Installation1. Open the battery case while pressing the buttonson sides of the battery case.► Fig.4: 1. Battery case 2. Buttons2. Insert a battery cartridge in place aligning its tonguewith the groove on the tool. If you can see the red indicatoras shown in the figure, it is not locked completely.► Fig.5: 1. Red indicator 2. Battery cartridge3. Close the battery case securely.Uninstallation1. Open the battery case while pressing the buttonson sides of the battery case.2. Slide the battery cartridge off from the tool whilepressing the button on front of the battery cartridge.► Fig.6: 1. Close the battery case securely.For cord connected power sourceOptional accessoryReplace the standard equipped battery case with anoptional battery case H before installation.Installation1. Open the battery case while pressing the buttonson sides of the battery case.2. Insert a battery adapter in place aligning its tonguewith the groove on the tool. If you can see the red indi-cator as shown in the figure, it is not locked completely.► Fig.7: 1. Red indicator 2. Battery adapter3. Open the rubber sealing grommet in the battery case.Make sure to squeeze the rubber sealing grommet out ofthe round hole rim from inside the front cover of the case.► Fig.8: 1. Rubber sealing grommet 2. Front cover4. Pass the adapter plug and plug cord through theround hole in the battery case.► Fig.9: 1. Adapter plug 2. Plug cord 3. Batteryadapter5. Close the battery case securely.6. Place the rubber sealing grommet back in place.► Fig.10: 1. Rubber sealing grommet 2. Plug cord3. Battery caseUninstallation1. Open the battery case while pressing the buttonson sides of the battery case.2. Open the rubber sealing grommet in the batterycase.Make sure to squeeze the rubber sealing grommet outof the round hole rim from inside the front cover of thecase.► Fig.11: 1. Rubber sealing grommet 2. Front cover3. Pull the adapter plug and plug cord out throughthe round hole in the battery case.4. Slide the battery adapter off from the tool whilepressing the button on front of the battery adapter.5. Close the battery case securely. |
