8 ENGLISHINSTALLATION AND POWERSUPPLYCAUTION:● Be careful not to pinch your fingers when openingand closing the battery cover.● Return the battery compartment locker to theoriginal position, after installing or removingbattery cartridge. If not, battery cartridge mayaccidentally fall out of the speaker, causing injuryto you or someone around you.● Always close and lock the battery compartmentlocker before moving the speaker.● Always switch off the speaker before installing orremoving the battery cartridge.● Be careful not to drop or strike the speaker.Broken shell may slash your finger or stab yourbody. Damaged speaker may exhibit unpredictablebehavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk ofinjury.● Hold the speaker and the battery cartridge firmlywhen installing or removing battery cartridge.Failure to hold the speaker and the batterycartridge firmly may cause them to slip off yourhands and result in damage to the speaker andbattery cartridge and a personal injury.IMPORTANT:● Reduced power, distortion, “stuttering sound” or a lowbattery icon appearing on the display are all signs thatthe main battery pack needs to be replaced.● The battery cartridge can’t be charged via the suppliedAC power adaptor.● The battery cartridge is not included as standardaccessories.Installing or removing slide batterycartridge (Fig. 2-4)● To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on thebattery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slipit into place. Always insert it all the way until it locks inplace with a little click.● If you can see the red indicator on the upper side ofthe button, it is not locked completely. Install it fullyuntil the red indicator cannot be seen. If not, it mayaccidentally fall out of the speaker, causing injury toyou or someone around you.● Do not use force when inserting the battery cartridge.If the cartridge does not slide in easily, it is not beinginserted correctly.● To remove the battery cartridge, sliding it from thespeaker while pressing the button on the front of thecartridge.Indicating the remaining batterycapacity (Fig. 5-6)Only for battery cartridges with the indicator1. Indicator lamps 2. Check buttonPress the check button on the battery cartridge to indicatethe remaining battery capacity. The indicator lamps lightup for few seconds.● XGT/LXT battery cartridgeIndicator or lampsRemaining capacityLighted Off Blinking75% ~ 100%50% ~ 75%25% ~ 50%0% ~ 25%Charge the batteryThe battery may havemalfunctionedNOTE:● Depending on the conditions of use and the ambienttemperature, the indication may differ slightly from theactual capacity.● The first (far left) indicator lamp will brink when thebattery protection system works.● When the battery power is low, please replace thebattery.Using supplied AC power adaptorRemove the rubber protector and insert the adaptorplug into the DC socket on the right hand side of thespeaker. Plug the adaptor into a standard mains socketoutlet. Whenever the adaptor is used, the battery pack isautomatically disconnected.CAUTION:● Always disconnect the AC power adaptorcompletely before moving the speaker. If the ACadaptor is not removed, it may cause an electricshock.● Never pull and/or drag the cord of the adaptor.If not, the speaker may accidentally fall down,causing injury to you or someone around you.IMPORTANT:● In order to disconnect the speaker, the mains adaptorshould be removed from the mains outlet completely. |
