1011. The operator is adequately trained in the use,adjustment and operation of the tool.12. Stop and unplug the saw when unattended.13. To reduce the emitted noise, always be surethat the blade is sharp and clean.14. Use only saw blades that are marked with amaximum speed equal to or higher than the noload speed marked on the tool.15. Never remove any cut-offs or other parts of theworkpiece from the cutting area whilst the toolis running with an unguarded saw blade.16. The tool should not be used for slotting,rebating or grooving.17. Clean and be careful not to damage thespindle, flanges (especially the installingsurface) and fixing bolt before or wheninstalling the blade. Damage to these partscould result in blade breakage. Poorinstallation may cause vibration/wobbling orslippage of the blade. Use only flangesspecified for this tool.18. Always use accessories recommended in thismanual. Use of improper accessories such asabrasive cut-off wheels may cause an injury.19. Select the correct saw blade for the material tobe cut.20. Do not cut metal objects such as nails andscrews. Inspect for and remove all nails,screws and other foreign material from theworkpiece before operation.21. Knock out any loose knots from workpieceBEFORE beginning to cut.22. Do not use the tool in the presence offlammable liquids or gases.23. For your safety, remove the chips, small pieces,etc. from the work area and table top beforeplugging the tool and starting operation.24. Keep hands and make your bystander andyourself position out of path of and not in linewith saw blade. Avoid contact with anycoasting blade. It can still cause severe injuryand never reach around saw blade.25. Be alert at all times, especially duringrepetitive, monotonous operations. Do not belulled into a false sense of security. Blades areextremely unforgiving.26. Make sure the shaft lock is released before theswitch is turned on.27. Before using the tool on an actual workpiece,let it run for a while. Watch for vibration orwobbling that could indicate poor installationor a poorly balanced blade.28. Wait until the blade attains full speed beforecutting.29. Refrain from removing any cut-offs or otherparts of the workpiece from the cutting areawhilst the tool is running and the saw head isnot in the rest position.30. Stop operation immediately if you noticeanything abnormal.31. Turn off tool and wait for saw blade to stopbefore moving workpiece or changingsettings.32. Unplug tool before changing blade, servicingor not in use.33. Some dust created from operation containschemicals known to cause cancer, birthdefects or other reproductive harm. Someexamples of these chemicals are:• lead from lead-based-painted material and,• arsenic and chromium fromchemically-treated lumber.Your risk from these exposures varies,depending on how often you do this type ofwork. To reduce your exposure to thesechemicals: work in a well ventilated area andwork with approved safety equipment, such asthose dust masks that are specially designedto filter out microscopic particles.34. Make sure that the table is securely fixed withthe lever after turning it over.WHEN USING IN MITER SAW MODE:35. Do not use the saw to cut other than wood,aluminum or similar materials.36. Do not perform any operation freehand. Theworkpiece must be secured firmly against the turntable and guide fence with the vise during alloperations. Never use your hand to secure theworkpiece.37. Ensure that the tool is stable before each cut.38. Support long workpieces with appropriateadditional supports.39. Never cut so small workpiece which cannot besecurely held by the vise. Improperly heldworkpiece may cause kickback and seriouspersonal injury.40. Make sure that the turn table is properlysecured so it will not move during operation.41. Make sure that the arm is securely fixed whenbeveling. Tighten the lever clockwise to fix thearm.42. Make sure the blade does not contact the turntable in the lowest position and is notcontacting the workpiece before the switch isturned on.43. Hold the handle firmly. Be aware that the sawmoves up or down slightly during start-up andstopping.WHEN USING IN THE TABLE SAW (BENCH SAW)MODE:44. Do not perform any operation freehand.Freehand means using your hands to supportor guide the workpiece, in lieu of a rip fence. |
