Never vacuum up toxic, carcinogenic, com-bustible or other hazardous materials suchas asbestos, arsenic, barium, beryllium,lead, pesticides, or other health endangeringmaterials.8. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.9. For Finland, this machine is not to be usedoutdoors at low temperature.10. Do not use the appliance close to heat sources(stoves, etc.).11. Do not block suction inlet/outlet/cooling vents.These vents permit cooling of the motor.Blockage should be carefully avoided other-wise the motor will burn out due to a lack ofventilation.12. Do not fold, tug or step on the hose.13. Stop the cleaner immediately if you noticepoor performance or anything abnormalduring operation.14. REMOVE THE BATTERY(IES). When not inuse, before servicing, and when changingaccessories.15. Clean and service the cleaner immediatelyafter each use to keep it in optimum operatingcondition.16. MAINTAIN THE CLEANER WITH CARE. Keepthe cleaner clean for better and safer per-formance. Follow instructions for changingaccessories. Keep handles dry, clean, and freefrom oil and grease.17. CHECK DAMAGED PARTS. Before further useof the cleaner, a guard or other part that isdamaged should be carefully checked to deter-mine that it will operate properly and performits intended function. Check for alignment ofmoving parts, binding of moving parts, break-age of parts, mounting, and any other condi-tions that may affect its operation. A guard orother part that is damaged should be properlyrepaired or replaced by an authorized servicecenter unless otherwise indicated elsewherein this instruction manual. Have defectiveswitches replaced by authorized service cen-ter. Don’t use the cleaner if switch does notturn it on and off.18. REPLACEMENT PARTS. When servicing, useonly identical replacement parts.19. When not in use, always store the cleanerindoors.20. Be kind to your cleaner. Rough handling cancause breakage of even the most sturdily builtcleaner.21. Do not attempt to clean the exterior or interiorwith benzine, thinner or cleaning chemicals.Cracks and discoloration may be caused.22. Do not use cleaner in an enclosed space whereflammable, explosive or toxic vapors are givenoff by oil-base paint, paint-thinner, gasoline,some mothproofing substances, etc., or inareas where flammable dust is present.23. Do not operate the cleaner or any tool whileunder the influence of drugs or alcohol.24. Wear appropriate protective equipmentsuch as a mask depending on the usageenvironment.25. This machine is not intended for use by per-sons including children with reduced physical,sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of expe-rience and knowledge.26. Children should be supervised to ensure thatthey do not play with the cleaner.27. Never handle battery(ies) and cleaner with wethands.28. Use extreme caution when cleaning on stairs.29. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.30. Do not use the cleaner as a stool or workbench. The machine may fall down and mayresult in personal injury.31. Keep all parts of your body and clothing awayfrom the openings and moving part like therotating brushroll. Otherwise they may be caughtin the appliance and cause injury.Battery tool use and care1. Recharge only with the charger specified bythe manufacturer. A charger that is suitable forone type of battery pack may create a risk of firewhen used with another battery pack.2. Use power tools only with specifically desig-nated battery packs. Use of any other batterypacks may create a risk of injury and fire.3. When battery pack is not in use, keep it awayfrom other metal objects, like paper clips,coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metalobjects, that can make a connection from oneterminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-nals together may cause burns or a fire.4. Under abusive conditions, liquid may beejected from the battery; avoid contact. If con-tact accidentally occurs, flush with water. Ifliquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medicalhelp. Liquid ejected from the battery may causeirritation or burns.5. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is dam-aged or modified. Damaged or modified batteriesmay exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting infire, explosion or risk of injury.6. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire orexcessive temperature. Exposure to fire or tem-perature above 130 °C may cause explosion.7. Follow all charging instructions and do notcharge the battery pack or tool outside thetemperature range specified in the instruc-tions. Charging improperly or at temperaturesoutside the specified range may damage thebattery and increase the risk of fire.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.WARNING: DO NOT let comfort or familiaritywith product (gained from repeated use) replacestrict adherence to safety rules for the subjectproduct.
