Failure to follow the warnings and instructionsmay result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.1. Do not use any accessories not recommendedby the manufacturer. Otherwise unexpectedmatter may occur.2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Surfaces are liable toget hot during use.3. Do not use the appliance close to heat sources(stoves, etc.).4. Put the appliance on the flat stable surface.5. Do not cover the spout while boiling. Steamcannot be discharged and may cause a malfunc-tion or injury.6. Allow to cool before cleaning the appliance.Otherwise burn injury may occur.7. Be careful not to lay down the appliance thatcontains water. The discharge lock does not sealwater completely. Water may spills, even if thedischarge lock is activated.8. Position the appliance so that walls or furni-ture are not exposed to steam. Otherwise dis-coloration, deformation or cracks may result.9. Boil only water. Do not boil other than waterlike milk, tea, or soup etc. Otherwise the con-tents may ejected and cause an injury, or theappliance may get dirty or malfunction may occur.10. Do not put anything other than water in thekettle, like a bottle or cup etc. Otherwise thewater may ejected and cause an injury, or theappliance may get dirty or malfunction may occur.11. Do not open the lid immediately after boiling.Otherwise boiled water may drip and cause burn injury.WARNING: DO NOT let comfort or familiaritywith product (gained from repeated use) replacestrict adherence to safety rules for the subjectproduct. MISUSE or failure to follow the safetyrules stated in this instruction manual may causeserious personal injury.Safety warnings for battery-operated applianceBattery-operated appliance use and care1. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure theswitch is in the off-position before connectingto battery pack, picking up or carrying theappliance. Carrying the appliance with your fingeron the switch or energizing appliance that havethe switch on invites accidents.2. Disconnect the battery pack from the appli-ance before making any adjustments, chang-ing accessories, or storing appliance. Suchpreventive safety measures reduce the risk ofstarting the appliance accidentally.3. Recharge only with the charger specified bythe manufacturer. A charger that is suitable forone type of battery pack may create a risk of firewhen used with another battery pack.4. Use appliances only with specifically desig-nated battery packs. Use of any other batterypacks may create a risk of injury and fire.5. When battery pack is not in use, keep it awayfrom other metal objects, like paper clips,coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metalobjects, that can make a connection from oneterminal to another. Shorting the battery termi-nals together may cause burns or a fire.6. Under abusive conditions, liquid may beejected from the battery; avoid contact. If con-tact accidentally occurs, flush with water. Ifliquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medicalhelp. Liquid ejected from the battery may causeirritation or burns.7. Do not use a battery pack or appliance thatis damaged or modified. Damaged or modifiedbatteries may exhibit unpredictable behaviourresulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.8. Do not expose a battery pack or appliance tofire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire ortemperature above 130 °C may cause explosion.9. Follow all charging instructions and do notcharge the battery pack or appliance outsidethe temperature range specified in the instruc-tions. Charging improperly or at temperaturesoutside the specified range may damage thebattery and increase the risk of fire.10. Have servicing performed by a qualified repairperson using only identical replacement parts.This will ensure that the safety of the product ismaintained.11. Do not modify or attempt to repair the appli-ance or the battery pack except as indicated inthe instructions for use and care.Important safety instructions forbattery cartridge1. Before using battery cartridge, read all instruc-tions and cautionary markings on (1) battery char-ger, (2) battery, and (3) product using battery.2. Do not disassemble or tamper with the batterycartridge. It may result in a fire, excessive heat,or explosion.3. If operating time has become excessivelyshorter, stop operating immediately. It mayresult in a risk of overheating, possible burnsand even an explosion.4. If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse themout with clear water and seek medical atten-tion right away. It may result in loss of youreyesight.5. Do not short the battery cartridge:(1) Do not touch the terminals with any con-ductive material.(2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in a con-tainer with other metal objects such asnails, coins, etc.(3) Do not expose battery cartridge to wateror rain. |
