5 ENGLISH6. During use, a small amount of water will comeout from the bottom of the high pressurewasher. Avoid locating the high pressurewasher in the areas where you don't want towet.Personal safety1. To protect against the jet and objects by thejet, operators should wear appropriate cloth-ing such as safety boots, safety gloves, safetyhelmets with visors, hearing protection, etc.2. Do not use the high pressure washer withinrange of persons unless they wear protectiveclothing.3. To reduce the risk of injury, close supervisionis necessary when the product is used nearchildren.4. If connection is made to a potable water sys-tem, the system shall be protected againstbackflow.5. Water that has flowed through backflow pre-venter is considered to be non-potable.Electrical safety1. Never touch battery cartridges with wet hands.2. Do not use the machine if the important partsof the machine are damaged, e.g. safetydevices, high pressure hoses, or the triggergun.Power tool use and care1. Read all the instructions before using theproduct.2. Know how to stop the high pressure washerand bleed pressures quickly. Be thoroughlyfamiliar with the controls.3. High pressure jets can be dangerous if mis-used. The jet must not be directed at people,live electrical equipment, or the machine itself.4. This machine is not intended for use by per-sons (including children) with reduced physi-cal, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack ofexperience and knowledge.5. Children should be supervised to ensure thatthey do not play with the appliance.6. Do not spray flammable and/or toxic liquids.This may cause an explosion, intoxication, ordamage to the machine.7. Do not direct the jet against yourself or othersin order to clean clothes or foot-wear.8. High pressure hoses, fittings and couplingsare important for the safety of the machine.Use only hoses, fittings and couplings recom-mended by the manufacturer.9. Follow the instructions when changingaccessories.10. Keep handles dry, clean, and free of oil orgrease.11. Stay alert – watch what you are doing.12. Do not operate the product when fatigued orunder the influence of alcohol or drugs.13. Do not run the high pressure washer withoutwater for longer than one minute. It will dam-age the motor, resulting in malfunction.14. Always turn off the power and shut off thewater mains when leaving the high pressurewasher unattended.15. Be wary of the kickback. The trigger gunrecoils when the high pressure jet is ejectedfrom the nozzle. Hold the trigger gun firmly toprevent accidental injuries.16. Check for damaged or worn parts before use.Also make sure that the hose is properly con-nected and there is no leakage during oper-ation. Operating the machine with functionaldefects may cause an accident.17. This machine has been designed for use withthe cleaning agent supplied or recommendedby the manufacturer. The use of other cleaningagents or chemicals may adversely affect thesafety of the machine.18. Do not pull the hose to move the high pressurewasher body. This will damage the hose andconnecting parts and result in a short circuitor functional defects.19. Do not put heavy objects on the hose or letvehicles drive over it.20. Always discharge the residual pressure in thetrigger gun before disconnecting the hose.21. When connecting the hose to the water mains,observe the instructions of your local water-works department or company.22. If the high pressure washer is dropped or hitsagainst an hard object, be sure to check fordamage and crack. Using the high pressure washerdamaged may generate smoke, fire, or cause elec-tric shock, which result in personal injury.23. During use of high pressure cleaners, aerosolsmay be formed. Inhalation of aerosols can behazardous to health.24. Depending on the application, shielded noz-zles can be used for high pressure cleaning,which will reduce the emission of hydrousaerosols dramatically. However, not all appli-cations allow the use of such a device. Ifshielded nozzles are not applicable for the pro-tection against aerosols, a respiratory maskof class FFP 2 or equivalent may be needed,depending on the cleaning environment.25. The employer shall perform a risk assessmentin order to specify the necessary protectivemeasures regarding aerosols, depending onthe surface to be cleaned and its environment.Respiratory masks of class FFP 2, an equiv-alent or higher are suitable for the protectionagainst hydrous aerosols.26. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure theswitch is in the off-position before connectingto battery pack, picking up or carrying theappliance. Carrying the appliance with your fingeron the switch or energizing appliance that havethe switch on invites accidents.27. Disconnect the battery pack from the appli-ance before making any adjustments, chang-ing accessories, or storing appliance. Suchpreventive safety measures reduce the risk ofstarting the appliance accidentally.28. Do not modify or attempt to repair the appli-ance or the battery pack except as indicated inthe instructions for use and care.29.
