26 ENGLISHLighting up the lampsPress the lamp button on the battery box to light up thefront lamps and rear lamp. To turn off the lamps, pressthe lamp button again.► Fig.22: 1. Lamp button 2. Rear lampNOTE: The lamps go off if the machine is not oper-ated for a certain period.NOTE: The lamps go off when the power is turned off.NOTE: You can light up the lamps even if the lock keyis not inserted.Switch trigger and brake leverCAUTION: Before installing the battery car-tridge into the machine, always check to see thatthe switch trigger actuates properly and returnsto the “OFF” position when released.To start the machine, pull the switch trigger. Using theswitch trigger, the speed can be adjusted within the setspeed range. To stop the machine, release the switchtrigger and pull the brake lever.To lock the brake lever, pull and hold the brake lever,then pull the lock lever, and then release the brake leverwhile pulling the lock lever. Lock leverTilt switchCAUTION: Be sure to hold the brake leverwhen you operate the tilt switch.CAUTION: Before using the tilt switch, makesure that the remaining battery capacity is notlow. If the battery capacity is low, lock the brakelever, and then switch the battery cartridges tocharged ones or replace the battery cartridgeswith charged ones.► Fig.26: 1. Tilt switchYou can tilt the bucket or carrier using the tilt switch. Totilt the bucket or carrier forward, press the upper side ofthe tilt switch while holding the brake lever. To return thebucket or carrier, press the lower side of the tilt switchwhile holding the brake lever.NOTE: The beep sound is emitted while the bucket orcarrier is moving.Adjusting the width of the carrierNOTICE: Make sure that the side rails and frontrail are fixed securely after tightening the thumbnuts.Loosen 6 thumb nuts, and then slide the side rails andfront rail. Tighten the thumb nuts to fix the side rails andfront rail.► Fig.27: 1. Thumb nut 2. RailCAUTION: Do not slide the rails beyond thelimit mark.► Fig.28Adjusting the handle heightNOTICE: Fix the left and right handles at thesame height.The handle height can be adjusted in 7 levels. To adjustthe handle height, loosen 2 knobs, then adjust the han-dle height by aligning the hole on the handle with theprotrusion on the rear frame, and then tighten2 knobs securely. Adjust the height of the other handlein the same way.► Fig.29: 1. KnobRear wheel lockYou can fix the direction of the rear wheels using therear wheel lock.1. Slightly move the machine forward so that the rearwheels face the direction shown in the figure.► Fig.30: 1. Rear wheel2. Rotate the rear wheel lock toward the rear.► Fig.31: 1. Rear wheel lock3. Lock the other rear wheel in the same way.4. Move the rear wheel back and forth or left andright slightly to make sure it is locked.To release the rear wheel lock, rotate the rear wheellock 90° as shown in the figure.► Fig.32: 1. Rear wheel lockNOTE: The rear wheels can be fixed in 4 differentdirections as shown in the figure.► Fig.33Using the levelUsing the level, you can check if the ground is level.► Fig.34: 1. LevelOPERATIONCAUTION: Be sure to lock the brake leverbefore loading or unloading objects.Operating the machineNOTICE: Be sure to insert the lock key beforethe operation. If the lock key is not inserted, a beepsound is emitted when you pull the switch trigger. Thebeep sound stops by releasing the switch trigger andpulling the brake lever.NOTICE: Perform the inspection before oper-ating the machine by referring to the section formaintenance. |
