2713151614Mounting the fan housingPut the fan housing (13) on.Press the screws (14) into their holes.Lift the engine hood (15) slightly and use your thumb to hookin the tab (16) on the fan housing.Straighten out the fan housing, push lightly against the saw andpull the starter grip until the starting mechanism catches.Tighten screws (14).1819Replacing/cleaning the spark arrester screenThe spark arrester screen should be checked and cleanedregulary.Loosen the screw (18) and remove the spark arrester screen(19).Caution: Do not use sharp or pointed objects for screen clean-ing. Damaged or misformed screen wires may result.Reassembly the spark arrester screen and tighten the screw.DBCleaning the cylinder areaRemove the filter hood and air filter.Remove the spark plug cap and unscrew the spark plug.Press in the starting valve and activate the chain brake.Push the cable cutout and ignition cable out sideways.Unscrew the two rearmost screws on the cover.Unscrew the screws on the handguard pivot and remove thebushing.Lift the cover out of the air intake guide and remove.IMPORTANT: Put the air filter back on and fasten it. Insertthe spark plug and hand-tighten.Put the spark plug cap on the plug and pull out the startingvalve.Remove the fan housing and remove the air guide.CAUTION: To prevent eye injury, always wear eye protectionwhen cleaning the fi lter with compressed air!The entire area (17) can now be brushed clean or cleaned withcompressed air.A bottle brush can come in handy for cleaning out the cylinderribs.With the cyinder fin cleaner, clean out the area between thecylinder fins and between the cylinder and the mountingplate.Do not use force. Be careful not to damage the short-circuitwire and the ignition wire.17C
