8ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONSCAUTION : Before performing any work on the blower, alwaysswitch off the motor and pull the spark plug connectorsoff the spark plug.Always wear protective gloves!CAUTION : Start the blower only after having assembled it com-pletely.1. ASSEMBLY OF BLOWER PIPES1) Align grooves in the blower pipe with pegs on the blowerhousing and slide the pipe onto housing.2) Turn the blower pipe clockwise to lock it into place.2. ASSEMBLY OF VACUUM ATTACHMENT1) Installing Vacuum pipe (nozzle)(1) Loosen the screw and open the protector .It is dangerous to operate the machine with the screw loosened.The operator’s finger or clothing may be caught in the impeller, which willresult in a serious accident.(2) Align the indicated on the vacuum pipe with the “ ” indi-cated on the blower. Then insert the vacuum pipe into theblower.(3) Turn the vacuum pipe until the is aligned with the “ ”indicated on the blower to lock the vacuum pipe.WARNING!Always hold the mounting end of the vacuum pipe when attaching/detaching the vacuum pipe.2) Installing Elbow and Dust Bag(1) Open the fastener of the dust bag.(2) Insert the elbow into the dust bag and take it out through thebag’s entry.(3) Install the elbow on the blower.Always mount the protector/vacuum pipe in the right way before opera-tion. Operation without the protector/vacuum pipe is dangerous, theimpeller may catch the operator’s fingers or clothes and it can result inserious injury.WARNING!When using this machine as a blower, be sure to confirmthat the screw is not loosened at each time of startup. Ifthe screw is loosened, retighten it.WARNING!Do not attempt to pick up large wood chips, metals, glass,stones, liquids, lighted cigarettes, fire works or the like.ScrewProtector |
