Use the instructions shipped with the option to help you make the connection and install any softwareor device drivers that are required for the option.Replacing the ac power adapterAttention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the “Readthis first: Important safety information” on page iii.To replace the ac power adapter, do the following:1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnectall power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer.2. Remove the ac power adapter cable from the ac power adapter cable loop at the rear of the computerand then disconnect the ac power adapter from the computer.Figure8. Removing the ac power adapter3. Connect the new ac power adapter to the ac power adapter connector at the rear of your computerand a workable electrical outlet.
