6. UseThis appliance has been designedSOLELY for grinding coffee beans. Anyother use is understood to be improper,and consequently hazardous. The manu-facturer cannot be held responsible forany damage as a result of improper orincorrect use.Do not use the appliance for grindingother types of food, or anything else.Do not use the doser (Vulcano Auto-matic) to store foods or measure them.THE GRINDER-DOSERS MANUFAC-TURED BY OUR COMPANY AREINTENDED FOR SKILLED PERSONNELONLY FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ANDNOT FOR HOUSEHOLD USE. The usermust be an adult.Do not allow children or incapablepersons to use the appliance.7. Installation and wiringThe appliance must be installed byskilled technical personnel in conformitywith the safety rules in force. Incorrectinstallation may result in injury ofpersons or animals, or damage to prop-erty, for which the manufacturer cannotbe held responsible.• The appliance must be placed on astable, flat surface (we recommend toinstall the appliance at an heightbetween 80 and 100 cm from the floor).• Before plugging in the appliance, makesure the voltage and frequency valuesof the supply mains correspond to theratings indicated on the label featuringthe appliance’s technical data.• The wall socket must be fitted with anefficient earth contact. Consequently,it is essential to make sure the earthsystem is efficient and in conformitywith current safety rules. If in anydoubt, have the system thoroughlychecked by personnel with the appro-priate professional skills.IT IS COMPULSORY TO EARTH THEAPPLIANCE.The manufacturer cannot be heldresponsible in the event this regulationis not complied with.• It is essential to make sure the ratings ofthe system are suitable for the powerabsorbed by the appliance - as indicatedon the label featuring the technical data- and that the wall socket is protectedagainst overcurrents.• Do not use extension cables, plugadapters for multiple sockets or make-shift connections.• In EEC member countries, the regula-tion in force calls for the external equi-potential terminal on the outer partof the appliance’s base plate to beconnected to a equipotential node ifthe installation is to be correct.• The motor must rotate clockwise. If therotation of three-phase motors is to beinverted, by inverting the two powersupply wires inside the plug, this mustbe carried out by skilled personnel.• The appliance is suitable for indoor useonly. Do not use the appliance outdoor.• Thoroughly clean the appliance at thefirst installation; follow the instructionsin chapter 9 and 14.• Do not install the appliance near towater dispenser or similar product thatcould throw water jet on the appliance.4EN
