10ENGLIsHusing the Blenderpulse Mode featureYour KitchenAid® Blender offers PulseMode, which allows a “Pulse-at-any-Speed” feature.NotE: Pulse Mode will not work with theCrush Ice feature.1. Before operating the Blender, makesure the pitcher is properly in place onthe Blender base.2. Put ingredients into pitcher, and firmlyattach lid.3. Press PULSE MODE. The indicatorlight above the button will blink toindicate that all five speeds are in thePulse Mode.4. Select a speed button. Press and holdfor the desired length of time. Boththe speed button and Pulse Modeindicators will stay lit when pulsing atthe selected speed. When button isreleased, the blending will stop, butthe Blender will remain in Pulse Modeand the Pulse Mode indicator willreturn to blinking. To pulse again or atanother speed, simply press and holdthe button of the desired speed.5. To turn off the Pulse Mode feature,press OFF. The Blender is now ready forcontinuous operation.6. Before removing the pitcher, press OFFto deactivate the Blender, and unplugthe power cord.Ingredient capThe 2 oz. (60 mL) ingredient cap can beused to measure and add ingredients.Remove cap and add ingredients at STIR,CHOP or MIx speeds. When operating athigher speeds, with a fullpitcher or with hot contents,stop the Blender and thenadd ingredients.soft start™ Blending featureThe Soft Start™ blending featureautomatically starts the Blender at a lowerspeed to draw ingredients into the blades,then quickly increases to the selectedspeed for optimal performance.NotE: The Soft Start™ blending featureonly works when a speed is selected fromthe “Off” mode. The Soft Start™ featuredoes not work with Pulse Mode orCrush Ice.
