The :CONFigure command places the instrument in aone-shot measurement mode. Every time the :READ? command is then sent, a measurementconversion occurs and the reading is acquired. When this command is sent, the following commands are executed in the order that they arepresented: :ABORt :INITiate :FETCh?When :ABORt is executed, the instrument goes into the idle state if continuous initiation is disabled.Otherwise, operation re-starts at the beginning of the trigger model. If the instrument is in the idle state, :INITiate takes the instrument out of the idle state. Ifcontinuous initiation is enabled, (:INITiate:CONTinuous ON), then the :INITiate commandgenerates an error and ignores the command.Use the :FETCh? for details.
