II User Manual Fast Pedelec 93 Charging the batteryTo charge the battery, you have to take it out of the holderon the Pedelec.Battery chargestate indicatorCarry handleGrip the battery by the handle, insert the key into the lockand turn it anticlockwise. The battery is now unlocked andcan be removed !om the Pedelec by tilting it sideways.In doing so, hold on tight to the battery to prevent it !ombeing dropped.Unlocking the batteryTilt to removeYou should now remove the key and keep it in a safe placeto prevent it !om breaking off or being lost.3.1 Charging operationBefore charging the battery, read the information on thecharger care!lly.i 1. Take the charger provided out of its packagingand plug the mains plug into a socket (230 V, ob-serve type plate on the charger).Type plate on charger: Front and backi 2. Put the battery in the docking station of thecharger.i 3. The charging operation starts. The battery LEDslight up or flash. Once all five LEDs have gone out,the battery is $lly charged. You can leave the bat-tery standing in the charger. However, the chargeralways draws some current if you leave it pluggedin.i 4. To save power, pull the charger plug out of thesocket once the charging operation is complete.3.2 Fitting the batteryi 1. Insert the battery into the battery holder ofthe Pedelec !om the left by tilting it outwards atroughly 45°.i 2. In doing so, you must insert the lateral guidesat the bottom of the battery into the guides of theholder.i 3. Tilt the battery towards the bike until it en-gages in the locking mechanism. If the key is stillin the lock, turn it clockwise then pull it out to lockthe battery in place.i 4. Make sure the battery is firmly in place.
