ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE14 146 3082 000(2)2007-06 Edge 28BMAIN BROOM HEIGHT CHECK ANDADJUSTMENTCheck that the main broom is at the correct height fromthe ground, according to the following procedure:Drive the machine on a level ground.Keep the machine stationary and turn on the mainbroom for a few seconds.Turn off the main broom by pressing the switch (1),then move the machine.Check that the main broom print (A, Fig. 3), along itslength, is 1.2-2 in (3-5 cm) wide.If the print is not within specifications, it is necessaryto adjust the broom height, according to theprocedure shown in step 2.Turn the main switch (1) to “0”.On both sides of the machine, loosen the knob(A, Fig. 4).Grasp the support (B) on the points (C) and move itupwards, then lift it or lower it to change the main broomheight. For height variation, refer to the indicator (D).Then tighten the knob (A) on both sides of the machine.Perform step 1 again to check that the main broom is atthe correct height from the ground.When the broom is too worn and can no longer beadjusted, replace it according to the procedure shown inthe following paragraph.CAUTION!An excessive print (larger than 2 in (5 cm))of the main broom can lead to machinemalfunction and overheating of moving andelectric parts, thus reducing machine life.Pay careful attention when performing theabove-mentioned checks, and always use themachine according to the indicated conditions.1.•••••2.3.4.5.6.S311352Figure 3S311353Figure 4BACCD
